That’s why, for Around the Crown 10K Together with Truist, we’re officially on board with our Crown Collective Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP) with Volunteer Local.
How to Get Started:
- Sign In: Head to the volunteer portal (via Volunteer Local)
- Browse: Explore all available roles and shifts
- Select: Decide what fits your vibe and schedule
- Track: View your completed hours anytime on your Volunteer profile
- Redeem: Claim your rewards once you’ve accumulated enough hours

More Than Just a Volunteer Gig

How it works and what you can earn:
Volunteer rewards are based on total hours volunteered, which are tracked automatically through VolunteerLocal. As you complete volunteer shifts, your hours add up to unlock rewards:
- 4–6 total volunteer hours
You’ll receive an official volunteer shirt. - 7-10 total volunteer hours
You’ll receive a volunteer shirt plus bonus swag from our event partners (examples may include coffee, merchandise, or other sponsor gifts). - 11+ total volunteer hours
You’ll receive all of the above and become eligible for race registration rewards for events we support or eligibility for things like Brooks shoes.
Runners, Don’t Forget: You can volunteer too!
Most of the events we work with allow you to run the race as well as volunteer. Positions at the expo, set up at the start line, or help at the finish line are a few ways to do both.
