Smile. You’re going to be on camera!
Back in 2024, we pitched the idea of a live broadcast with WSOC and they took the idea and absolutely sprinted with it. Now in 2026, thanks to the support from Truist, we’re bringing it back bigger and better with 90 full minutes of airtime for the 8th annual Around the Crown 10K Together with Truist! This means that your friends and family will be able to tune in on WSOC Channel 9 all around the Queen City, and live on YouTube for those a little further away from the Piedmont.

Award winning
The team at WSOC put in tremendous effort on the 2024 broadcast, earning a Mid-South Emmy® Award in the Special Events category for their outstanding race coverage. The award was presented at the February 14, 2026 ceremony hosted by the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which celebrates the best in television and media production across the region.
The winning coverage brought Charlotte’s signature inner-beltway race to life through a production that spanned 12 cameras, including aerial footage shot from a helicopter, drone perspectives, and ground-level cameras woven throughout the course on I-277. The multi-angle approach gave viewers an inside look at the diverse community of runners who make up this event, capturing both the scale of the race and the personal stories of those who took part.
