VIVA Chicken Volunteers

In 2024, we’re excited to continue working with our local go-to-spot for healthy, ridiculously delicious food, VIVA Chicken, to fuel our ever-growing volunteer team! They’ll be feeding all of our volunteers throughout race week and partnering on some pretty fun events leading up to the big day!

Not running in the race, then help run the race

Your volunteer time benefits the runners, cheerers, and staff by providing help in a variety of areas, including start & finish line, packet pick-up, information and course water stations. And even more importantly, volunteers provide the energy and enthusiasm to help encourage our runners to the finish line!

We can’t thank our volunteers enough for their assistance at the Around the Crown 10K. Without your wonderful help, time and enthusiasm this incredible community event could not take place. In order to commemorate your hours of contribution to the race, all volunteers will receive an event t-shirt and a tasty meal from our amazing sponsors.

Expo Support

Our expo is held on Saturday, August 31st at Camp North End from 11am – 6pm! Every single one of our runners will pass through to enjoy the bands, activities, and a chance to meet our amazing sponsors along with other races in the community. Our needs last throughout the day, however we’ve split the day so you can enjoy the live music as well. You will primarily be handing out bibs or shirts to all ATC10K participants, but other activities may include cheering on the kid’s run or helping us direct runners around the facility.

Race Day Support

Around the Crown 10K is a celebration of the active lifestyle in the Queen City and you can be a part of it! The big day kicks off at 7:30am for runners at Truist Field in uptown Charlotte! Our needs are primarily in the morning helping us set up the Start/Finish Line including handing out medals, water, and high fives. We will also have two water stops on the course where you can serve and cheer! Clean up. Clean up. Everybody. Everywhere.

Runners can volunteer too!

Don’t forget that if you’re running the race, you can also hand out shirts at the expo, help us setup the start line, or clean up afterwards!
